It's Simple

Nineteen years ago today Ron and I got married. We were in the midst of a major snow storm in the Rockies of CO. The Pastor who married us said our life would be an adventure. I always thought he knew God pretty well, but in retrospect, I have no doubt.

The adventure continues even through the mundane of getting ready to go to Romania: what do we ship? how do we get Matt's school program on the computer running again? does Anna have enough jeans? what should I fix for lunch? It seems like a million details to detail, and I'm thinking living an adventure isn't simple.

Nineteen years ago we honeymooned in a little cottage tucked away in the mountains. I wasn't concerned with all the details then. I was just interested in spending time with the love of my life and trying to please him. Guess things shouldn't be any different now. My Main Love is still the same, and thankfully He worked out all the details long ago.

The snow is coming down right now in Iowa, and I think Ron and I will have a great anniversary. But I was thinking, maybe next year in Romania (to celebrate our twentieth) we'll run away to a place with running water and a flush toilet.
