These are the Youth

Some things about our youth group aren't any different than in the States,
but some things are ...
-
-This youth group ranges in age from 13-23.
-The kids are fashionable, but only have about 2 sets of nice clothes. They take good care of these clothes, and make a point of not getting them dirty.

-A few of these high schoolers go to school in towns up to 45 min. away. They board by the school (hopefully with relatives) during the week and come home on weekends.
-School is taken very seriously by some of these students. By the time they reach high school they are already channeled into a probable career.

(These pictures are taken behind the church building Heather and Pavel attend.)
-The youth, and most Romanians, don't sit directly on the ground.
-If your bumm gets cold they believe you'll get an infection "down there".
Next week we'll be taking 5 of these youth to another village about 8 hours away to run a bible camp for 5 days. This will all be new to them, as many have never been so far from home. Few of them have spent the night away from family or relatives.
If God brings us to mind, please pray for these youth. They are the ones our Director at International Messengers is praying will be future missionaries to Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia and beyond!
