Thanksgiving

Smells of the baking turkey and mashed potatoes wafted out of the Nicolae's house as we entered with rolls and a fruit salad in hand. The food was placed on the already groaning table, as more of Pavel's family arrived.

We all found chairs, the turkey was brought out and the eating began.

After we stuffed ourselves the women forced themselves out of their chairs to start the long process of cleaning up. Heather's kitchen was being re-done so we did the dishes in the bathroom sink.

That night we got up at 2 AM to go pick up Anna Klemm a friend from missionary training.
Then on Friday we had a Thanksgiving celebration with her.

Dad carved the turkey, and we all gathered to each say a prayer of thanksgiving.

Then a day of baking and cooking payed off when we sat down to a meal of pumpkin pie, turkey, green bean casserole, pumpkin muffins, mashed potatoes and more.

And of course Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving without leftovers that we are still eating today in soup form.

~Anna, for all
